Senior Treatment

Compassionate Psychiatric Care Designed For Seniors

Older adults experience unique behavioral health challenges that require care and maintenance in order to ensure that the best quality of life can be enjoyed. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that approximately 15% of adults aged 60 and over suffer from a mental disorder. Issues may arise from physiological changes like loss of mobility, chronic pain, and changes in sleep patterns. In addition, things like retirement, bereavement, and economic concerns may also cause an increase in symptoms.

Older adults at the intersection of these life changes are vulnerable to mental health concerns. Our high-quality geriatric inpatient treatment program is designed to address behavioral health concerns with expertise and respect for the senior experience.

How to Start

The path to better mental health begins with an assessment - a confidential conversation with one of our qualified, compassionate behavioral health professionals. You may be recommended for an assessment by a community referral partner, such as a physician, mental health therapist, or senior care facility. You or a trusted caregiver may also schedule an assessment by phone, and our facility accepts walk-ins at any time. Your assessment can take place in person, over the phone, or via secure video conferencing.

After evaluating your unique challenges, including symptoms, past behaviors and experiences, our medical team will review the information and determine a comprehensive treatment plan for you. For those who are appropriate for our care, admission and treatment begin immediately.
